# Search (/docs/tips/search)

Search is the fastest way to get where you want to go. Rather than clicking through
menus, you type a few letters and jump straight to what you need. There are a couple
of search boxes, each for a different job.

## Search across your workspace [#search-across-your-workspace]

The main search box jumps you to anything in your workspace: an **app**, an
**indicator**, or a **node** in a pipeline. Open it from the left navigation (or with
its keyboard shortcut, see [Keyboard shortcuts](./keyboard-shortcuts.mdx)), start
typing, and the results update as you go, grouped by what they are. Pick a result to
go straight there.

## Search the documentation [#search-the-documentation]

These docs have their own search box at the top of the page. Type a word, for example
"pivot" or "formula", and it finds every page that mentions it, so you can land on the
right guide without browsing the menu.

## Find a node on the canvas [#find-a-node-on-the-canvas]

A large pipeline can hold many nodes, which can make a particular one hard to spot.
The canvas has its own node search for exactly this. Open it, type part of a node's
name, type, or id, and the matching nodes are highlighted. You can step through the
matches and the canvas brings each one into view, so even a big pipeline stays easy
to navigate.
